I’d like to thank all of those who are supporting Leaf Bound by giving valuable feed back! Our game will only get better with more valuable feed back! So if you have ideas, comments or suggestions please let us know! The team had stayed up all night to get version 1.1 done. Some of us didn’t sleep until 5 a.m. this morning. When you are having fun building games you can stay up all night! Our update had been submitted to Apple for review and if all goes well everyone should see the update in a week. The team is going to the video games live concert tonight which is right next to the comic-con. It will be pretty crazy downtown.
Our original update plan was just to release a performance update. We basically revamp the entire game. The GUIĀ and every level graphic had been optimized. We changed around the way our levels loaded and we reduced the overall file size of the game. Levels should load quicker and more mayhem can happen on the screen without lag. Since we were ahead of schedule with the performance update we wanted to throw in a few extra features based on the feed back of our gamers.
One of the main features is tilt control. We had mixed reviews about using the touch screen to move Yuri. Now that we have tilt control it will cater to both audiences. Both tilt control and touch screen has an independent sensitivity setting. Tilt control will be on by default in version 1.1. This gives a whole new challenge and game play to Leaf Bound! You will see a Mecha Monkey pointing at the options button on the main menu to show you that we have a new options setting. We have also added access to the options on the pause menu so you can fiddle around with the controls as you are playing.
Our second feature is difficulty settings. We have easy, normal and hard. For those who have trouble moving up in the level can change it to easy. This will tell the Mecha Monkeys to go a little easy on attacking Yuri. Hard mode will tell the Mecha Monkeys to attack without mercy! Difficulty settings will probably get refined on each update based on feed back from our gamers.
Our next step is to implement these features into the Lite version and submit it by end of day. For our lite version we will include level 2 to add in a little bit of value. We have a new level coming. For now we are giving it a name, Episode 2: Super Monkey. It could change by the time we release it but for now that is what I’ll call it. We’ll have more levels and characters coming! We will have a chained combo system in place also. We are still brain storming on what to do with it exactly. Also on the roadmap for us is making Maxxx unlockable so you can play as him in the game.
We have a lot of ideas in place. Most importantly if you have something you want to add let us know!
