I’d like to thank all of those who are supporting Leaf Bound by giving valuable feed back! Our game will only get better with more valuable feed back! So if you have ideas, comments or suggestions please let us know! The team had stayed up all night to get version 1.1 done. Some of us didn’t sleep until 5 a.m. this morning. When you are having fun building games you can stay up all night! Our update had been submitted to Apple for review and if all goes well everyone should see the update in a week. The team is going to the video games live concert tonight which is right next to the comic-con. It will be pretty crazy downtown.
Our original update plan was just to release a performance update. We basically revamp the entire game. The GUIĀ and every level graphic had been optimized. We changed around the way our levels loaded and we reduced the overall file size of the game. Levels should load quicker and more mayhem can happen on the screen without lag. Since we were ahead of schedule with the performance update we wanted to throw in a few extra features based on the feed back of our gamers.
One of the main features is tilt control. We had mixed reviews about using the touch screen to move Yuri. Now that we have tilt control it will cater to both audiences. Both tilt control and touch screen has an independent sensitivity setting. Tilt control will be on by default in version 1.1. This gives a whole new challenge and game play to Leaf Bound! You will see a Mecha Monkey pointing at the options button on the main menu to show you that we have a new options setting. We have also added access to the options on the pause menu so you can fiddle around with the controls as you are playing.
Our second feature is difficulty settings. We have easy, normal and hard. For those who have trouble moving up in the level can change it to easy. This will tell the Mecha Monkeys to go a little easy on attacking Yuri. Hard mode will tell the Mecha Monkeys to attack without mercy! Difficulty settings will probably get refined on each update based on feed back from our gamers.
Our next step is to implement these features into the Lite version and submit it by end of day. For our lite version we will include level 2 to add in a little bit of value. We have a new level coming. For now we are giving it a name, Episode 2: Super Monkey. It could change by the time we release it but for now that is what I’ll call it. We’ll have more levels and characters coming! We will have a chained combo system in place also. We are still brain storming on what to do with it exactly. Also on the roadmap for us is making Maxxx unlockable so you can play as him in the game.
We have a lot of ideas in place. Most importantly if you have something you want to add let us know!

These wallpapers are made to go on your iPhone or iPod touch. We grabbed them from the new splash screens that are introduced in our version 1.1 update of the game. Aside from that we are submitting our update to Apple tonight. We are going to do some final game play test and you should see a new update come through in a week or so. So be on the look out for the following new features: difficulty settings, tilt control, tilt sensitivity option, touch option, touch sensitivity option, new boss splash screens and performance update. We are excited about this update and we will have many more updates in the pipline to go!

We have completed the optimization update. It runs smoother than before! Not only have we finished the optimization update we have also added difficulty settings and accelerometer to allow you to have tilt control. We have a new options menu so you can turn off the tilt and use touch instead. We also have sensitivity options for both tilt and touch. For those who are bored the game being too hard or too easy then there is a difficulty option for you! We are testing the updates and we will push the updates to both the full version and lite version. We are aiming at completing the update by end of Tuesday. Keep checking back!

We are working on the next update to fix some performance issues with Leaf Bound. Not a problem with the 3G S but on the older models there is a report in significantly lower FPS. Some may experience slow downs with Jail Broken phones due to a lot of background processes.
Here were some suggestions and updates we are looking at (in no order):
- Performance update (In progress)
- Adding more levels
- New characters
- Allowing Maxxx (last boss) to be unlockable
- Difficulty settings
- Different control methods with adjustable options
- Camera view padding for more visibility in direction Yuri is going
- Endless mode (For people who just like to score high)
- Combo chain reactions
- Time attack
- head to head
We are looking into everyone’s suggestions and we’ll push out updates as we finish them. Not every single suggestion coming our way will be implemented but we will take careful consideration of all feedback. Thank you everyone for your support!

Our full version of Leaf Bound was officially released on Sunday July 5th and our Lite version was officially released a few days after. We are seeing a steady pick up in downloads especially with the Lite version everyone is trying out before purchasing the full version for 99cents (U.S.). We are excited to see that Touch Arcade (a very popular iPod touch and iPhone game review and news site) took notice of our game and decided to give us a spot on their front page.
